Sorrow

As part of the Imperial War Museum (IWM) War Game Jam, our team created a first-person narrative driven experience that demonstrated the perspectives of World War One.

​

As part of the competition, our team had to choose a IWM collection item that was connected with conflict and war. We chose the white poppy as we thought it would be interesting to explore the opinions of conflict during the 1930s, as it first emerged as a symbol of protest against war.

​

Sorrow involves searching for items in an attic that relate to a father's experience in World War One. With each item inspection, the player is teleported to a World War One battlefield where they must help survivors, reach locations and defeat enemies.
